Hopewell Data Services Helps Libraries Target Audiences By
Obtaining your patron file and segmenting the file by active and inactive patrons. An active patron has visited your library in the past 12 months whereas an inactive patron has visited your library more than 12 months ago.
We also obtain your local voter file from the Board of Elections in order to segment frequent and infrequent voters. A frequent voter has voted in EACH of the last 5 general elections whereas an infrequent voter has voted in any one of the last 5 general elections.
We then merge your patrons with your local voter file to:
1) Identify active patrons/frequent voters
2) Identify active patrons/infrequent voters
3) Identify inactive patrons/frequent voters
4) Identify inactive patrons/infrequent voters
Once these segments are created the files are "householded" in order to reduce multiple communications to one location.
Final householded files are prepared for direct mail and/or email marketing campaigns.
Householded walking lists can also be created in order to provide library volunteers a "road map" to walk neighborhoods in an efficient manner in order to bring your communication door to door.
"...Hopewell Data Services was instrumental in helping the East Fishkill Community Library target the needed voters for the GET to Yes! vote. Instead of mass communicating to 10,000 households HDS helped us target fewer than 2,000 households resulting in 409 YES votes to 160 NO votes."
